Even in our way to Tanay, Rizal I felt that something would capture my heart. I ignored the car sickness because there were mountains, trees, goats, horses, mountaineers, bikers, and flowers to see.
While seeing all of it and feeling cold I suddenly thought that these side of the earth should remain as it is. All of the beautiful creations of God should be appreciated not destroyed. If we want to see them frequently take a photo. If we want to feel them we have to get used to the weather.

I envy the locals for they can enjoy the views of Sierra Madre while they eat breakfast or take a bath every day. They’ll complain about what they do not have but soon they will realize that they are lucky.
The locals are lucky so am I. And so are you.
I had the chance to stay one night and a day with my SFC family at the Sierra Madre Hotel and Resort. We arrived late in the afternoon. We waited for one of the three rooms to be cleaned (which was facing the mountains and the swimming pool) and hurriedly placed our bags in because the sun was setting.
We go back to prepare dinner. I did not do much of the cooking. J We played a game. We slept late, and then the guys surprised us by singing some song – the harana version. I have to admit I did not sleep well because the bed was creaking plus it was cold even without the air conditioning.
And then, came morning. I get out of the room without brushing my teeth. Hoping I was not late for sunrise. I wanted to witness its first light. I wanted to see its effect with the mountain up close and the clouds nearby. True to its purpose the sun and its light did not disappoint.
The Sierra Madre Hotel and Resort does not only offer leisure like camping, swimming, crossing hanging bridge, and firing (it was listed in the pamphlets that they have a firing range) but a time to reflect and pray. It has a station of the cross in which we decided to hike. It also has a natural waterfall.
It is also worth mentioning that they have assigned a staff to be watch over the people swimming in the pool. He was silently watching, and cautiously reprimanding the violators. I mean those that are not wearing white shirt.
