Chasing Sunrise
Sunrise for me symbolizes hope and a new beginning. It rejuvenates my soul. When its rays burst through the clouds, then to the trees, and unto my skin somehow I knew I am alive. I am alive along with my dreams, aspirations, and beauty. I can feel the heat. I’d sweat yes but still like all other goodness Mother Nature has I am in awe of its effect. Not only that, if we are looking, creatively above the high lands of a city minus the electric wires and messy roof we can witness something special unfolding.

JUST SO YOU CAN CALL ME PRODUCTIVE
Just
so you can call me productive here are photos of the sky and the sun with a sad
fog. They were taken after I have attended “Simbang Gabi.”

PHOTOWALK: LATE FOR SUNRISE
I indulged myself with the things I
can do. Waiting for certain plans to unfold is eventually tiring, yes, I have
to admit that. That is why I have decided to tick on item on my to-do list even
though it is not yet its time. The perfect time for a photowalk, in my opinion,
is when I already own a DSLR precisely Canon. Can’t I have a photowalk with the
camera that I currently used? Of course, yes! It is just my pride and doubts
that is stopping me.

WILD AND BEAUTIFUL
Allow me to share another bunch of growing flowers.
I found them in the commercial lot in our neighborhood. They said that soon a
building were rise in there. I been seeing them from our laundry area and
finally I’ve decided to take a photo. I asked permission to the keeper of the
lot to go in. Because no matter how beautiful your photographs are it would not
matter if you are caught as a trespasser.
Aren’t they beautiful? There growing around the
weeds, they bloomed through the rain and summer heat. They survived. Yet,
there name is never known. So by posting them here, I am acknowledging these
wild and beautiful flowers. How ironic is that some beauty is unknown and
hiding. Do you know them?

FLOWERS OF MAY
Photographing flowers is my new obsession. It
started when I was experimenting with my camera, discovering that there is a
setting specified for taking photos of flowers. And when I try to experiment
with the shutter I was amazed on the result. It helps that I can immediately
see the difference in using the setting. It had been an inspired idea of
stocking photos until this month before using them here in my blog. Because I
want to call them Flowers of May.

NEVER BEEN SEEN PHOTOS WITH SFC
I
had some photos that I never published on my social media accounts because I
think that they are just alike with with the other photos but in different angle. Thinking about it makes me
sad so I decided to put them here.
This is also a way of celebrating my
eight months in the SFC community. And also to give you guys a peek on what
other things we do aside on growing together spiritually. Being with them is
like finding a solo petal that can add up the balance of a scale. I’m glad I
did.
Oh some confession, I have a
photo here that I did not like how I look so yeah. I finally have the courage of showing it to you guys. Tell me what you think. J

STORY OF A GUMAMELA
Every Saturday I always passed by
the school garden of Inuman Elementary School. I never had a chance to stop and
take a closer look of this flower because I am always in a hurry.

SWEET POTATO
Our neighbor has a small vegetable garden in their empty
lot. Once you go to our house it is impossible that you won’t notice it. I don’t
know if they planned of having one or it is just a blessing of nature. They have a
papaya, wild flowers, and sweet potato. I thought they are going maintain it
the old - fashioned way until the vines of sweet potato started to crawl over
their fence.

A TALE OF A FOOTBRIDGE AND ON CROSSING STREETS
I remember when I was in Grade One our teacher was very
persistent on teaching us on how to cross the street. “As a child if possible
you must not be alone whenever crossing the street. If by chance you cannot
help but go on your own because everyone is telling you that you are a big girl
already, by all means go and cross that street. But I want you to remember that
you must: 1. Stop, 2. Look, and 3. Listen. Stop before you take a step on that
asphalt road near the waiting shed. Look to your left and to your right if
there are cars coming. If you see no cars you must listen because cars are
coming when you hear a loud engine sound. It is like brooomm!” She said.

ALL ABOUT THESE CATS
Hello! Today, I am sharing the recent photos of cats
that I have captured. I have been reading photography tutorials for almost a
year. And, I have been so inspired.
Aside from writing, photography is one of my passion and identity. One of the
tips that lead me to pursue photography is: “You should not only read
photography tips. You should exercise what you have been reading. Show yourself
what you have learned.”

SNAPSHOTS OF A WHITE CAT
One morning, I saw this white
cat sitting above the fence of our neighbor’s yard. It was a spectacular
view. Being a fan of candid shots I took the liberty to get a photo of the
scene. It was perfect.

LOOK UP AT ONE SKY
It was a
beautiful twilight when I have decided to give myself something to look forward
at every end of the day. I suddenly felt the urged to look up. Sure enough, I
was amazed on what I have seen. A heart shaped cloud was up there unmoving as
if it was waiting for me. It wasn’t until now that I think that it might be a sign
of something good to happen or perhaps a romance is brewing.
After
seeing it I felt a different kind of happiness. That is why I make a decision
to photograph the sky on the succeeding days. Besides, it is better to look up
instead of watching pavements. It is like surrendering everything to God. It is
like seeing the world in a different
perspective.
