My First Blogapalooza Experience
Last May 21, 2016, I attended Blogapalooza held at Prosperity Hall, Elements Centris. Its theme was chartering the unchartered. It was overwhelming! That is why I opted to learn through the talks of different speakers.
Here are the highlights in letters. (BLOGAPALOOZA)

Cornerstone Diary: 2015's Christmas Party Highlights
It
had been two weeks since the Christmas party of Cornerstone. It was super fun!
My level of excitement was the same as the excitement that the kids had that
day. Who wouldn’t? There were games, gifts, great food, and surprises.

Cornerstone Diary: MOA Signing Ceremony, Letters VOX, and Fun Game with YFC
The MOA Signing Ceremony
To formalize the affiliation between Inuman Elementary School and Cornerstone the Memorandum of Agreement Signing Ceremony was held last October 24, 2015. It was attended by the representatives of the school and of the Cornerstone. Talks were delivered. I did not hear much of them because my attention was on the kids. Plus I was taking some photos. It was a bit tiring day since we proceed to have a regular session.

The parents of the tutees are always eager to support any activities that can nourish their child's knowledge. Look at that kid staring in the camera. ;)

We were called to have a group photo then we go back to continue our activities.

CORNERSTONE DIARY: LEFT AND RIGHT
The second school year of
Cornerstone in Inuman Elementary School had started. It is the same place like
last year with ate Tin and Kuya Cons as our team leader.
As of writing this, two sessions have been
conducted. But prior to we helped in repainting the classrooms and there had
been a meeting on a local eatery which was attended by some of the new members
of the SFC community.

DAY OUT WITH THE CORNERSTONE TEAM
The original plan was to enjoy an
afternoon in Marikina Riverbanks Center with the Cornerstone team. But since
some arrived past the agreed time we started our activity when the day turned
night. It was okay. I understand because everyone has something else going on
with their lives. I consider myself lucky of having plenty of time to spare.
Honestly time is one thing I have one right now. Money? Definitely nothing.

CORNERSTONE DIARY: FELT LIKE FINALS
Yesterday at Cornerstone it felt like it was
Finals. Some of the tutees who were absent during the evaluation are taking the
test. The others were in the other room practicing some dance that was being
choreographed by the Youth For Christ (YFC). There were no group sessions or
individual discussions.

CORNERSTONE DIARY: EVALUATION DAY
Kuya Cons is reviewing the tutees before the evaluation.
The Cornerstone program in Inuman
Elementary school is near its culmination. But before we say goodbye to the
tutees – the first batch in the said school we need to know the progress of the
tutees.

CORNERSTONE DIARY: HUMAN ALPHABET
Teaching is a very rewarding
profession. I’d known that fact since
the beginning of my school days. I gained more proof when I started volunteering
for Cornerstone. I have learned that it
would take patience, determination, knowledge, and creativity to teach whether
you are doing it as a profession or volunteering.

CORNERSTONE DIARY: THE 24TH AND 31ST OF JANUARY 2015
THE TUTORS
If I am submitting a journal in my
tutorial experience in Cornerstone that is based in Inuman Elementary School I
would probably failed. I missed writing or rather publishing for two Saturdays.
So much had happened. Luckily, I have taken photos that can compensate the
words to fill this diary and some notes stored in my phone.

BLESSED BY THE POPE
Groupie with my awkward smile. :)
The hash tag blessed by the Pope
(#BlessedByThePope) was used by many netizens during the Papal visit when they
are posting photos with the Pope. This was started by a TV network here in the
Philippines. I did not use the hash tag on my posts in my social media accounts
but I feel so blessed.

SWING DAY
Our household (the small group in SFC) originally planned a picnic near Sierra Madre instead we
went to Blue Mountains – a place known as a good jogging spot. Blue Mountains
is a subdivision that is near Our Lady of Fatima University Antipolo. It would
take one ride with a minimum fare from my place to reach the jogging spot. But
if you are feeling energized you can actually walk to get there.

WHAT I WORE TO A WEDDING IN JALAJALA
Wedding is a cheerful occasion. Attending
one is a privilege especially if one of your friends is getting married. Mary Grace, my college friend and seatmate,

CORNERSTONE DIARY: DAY 13
How
was your weekend? Mine was fun and educational. I was so happy because I was
able to go to Cornerstone last Saturday (November 8, 2014). As usual the kids
were energetic specially my tutees. I thought I share a video with you guys that I’ve created with Magisto. I discovered it when I was searching for a free online movie editor.
Before the proper lesson, Kuya Cons ,
encouraged the kids to do an exercise. He said that it was for hand
coordination. The kids were able to draw using both of their hands. Butterflies
were popular that day. Irish the kid in the video not just doodle one but two
butterflies. She was happy that she did it.
