EARLY MORNING

            Remember in my post entitled Swing Day I said that I took photos of the scenery of the place – Blue Mountains where we are supposed to jog but we end up enjoying the swing? Well, here they are.

SWING DAY

                Our household (the small group in SFC) originally planned a picnic near Sierra Madre instead we went to Blue Mountains – a place known as a good jogging spot. Blue Mountains is a subdivision that is near Our Lady of Fatima University Antipolo. It would take one ride with a minimum fare from my place to reach the jogging spot. But if you are feeling energized you can actually walk to get there.

WHAT I WORE TO A WEDDING IN JALAJALA

            Wedding is a cheerful occasion. Attending one is a privilege especially if one of your friends is getting married.  Mary Grace, my college friend and seatmate, got married with Joel this December 2014.

WEDDING SEASON

            Whenever I had a budget I would buy books. Ever since I have discovered a store that sells second hand books I am so pleased that I become a regular customer. That is the good thing about books when you are done reading them you can keep it or you can share them. I think the owner understands what a single book can do in its reader. How a book can change a perspective whether it is new or old.

            I bought Wedding Season by  Katie Fforde because at that time I was thinking of becoming a wedding planner which is the job of Sarah the main character of the story. I want to find how other people especially the writers see a wedding planner as a career. I want to find out what is needed in order to become one.

LULLABIES

There are some nights that I cannot sleep. My mother says it is because I am drinking too much coffee. Can you blame me? Coffee is good. Aside from that thinking of what’s going to happen next in the projects that I am working keeps me awake. When I am tired I will just hit my bed and I am away in my sleep.

         I spent my last two gift certificates (GC) from Zenzest that I have been saving for almost two years. The gift certificates were part of my commission when I was working as an Account Executive in a publishing company. The good thing with GC’s is they do not expire.

QUOTES AND REVIEW: THE BLOOD OF OLYMPUS BY RICK RIORDAN

              Finally! I am done reading the newest book of Rick Riordan – The Blood of Olympus. My high school friend and I are both waiting for the release of this book to know if Leo Valdez will find a way to go back to Calypso. Did he? Well, I don’t want to be a spoiler so I want you to read the book.

            If you have finished reading the book you might notice that most of the quotes I like are from Nico’s POV. I appreciate how Rick Riordan let his readers see how some of his characters have changed. I am talking about the characters of Nico di Angelo and his father Hades the God of Death. I never expected that the author would give Nico his change to “clear the air” with Percy’s character. I literally clapped my hand when I read what Nico told Percy (it is the last quote in this blog).

            Although my friend and I both agreed that the ending is a really a cliff hanger, we are glad that everyone (I mean the characters) are happy. Anyway, here are the quotes feel free to comment your favorite.

            I am writing on Wattpad. I have three stories that are on – going, two poetry compilations and a story that I pledged on #JustWriteIt. My username is @HopeForZero. I chose the name because at that time I have been thinking, “I have nothing to offer but love. I have nothing to give but love. And, all I ask is a spark of hope.”

CORNERSTONE DIARY: DAY 13

How was your weekend? Mine was fun and educational. I was so happy because I was able to go to Cornerstone last Saturday (November 8, 2014). As usual the kids were energetic specially my tutees. I thought I share a video with you guys that I’ve created with Magisto. I discovered it when I was searching for a free online movie editor.

            Before the proper lesson, Kuya Cons , encouraged the kids to do an exercise. He said that it was for hand coordination. The kids were able to draw using both of their hands. Butterflies were popular that day. Irish the kid in the video not just doodle one but two butterflies. She was happy that she did it.

Hello!  Today, I am sharing the recent photos of cats that I have captured. I have been reading photography tutorials for almost a year.  And, I have been so inspired. Aside from writing, photography is one of my passion and identity. One of the tips that lead me to pursue photography is: “You should not only read photography tips. You should exercise what you have been reading. Show yourself what you have learned.”

TEN RULES TO A HAPPY LIFE

1.    Be the best of whatever you are. Based on the poem of Douglas Malloch we must be the best of whatever you are. Because we can’t all be captains, we’ve got to be crew. There’s something for all of us here. How great is that? Every one of us has a place and purpose on life. I understand that we dreamed to be somebody else. But what will happen to our society? Think. If all of us were granted to be captains who will be the crew. If all of us are leaders who will be our followers that will do our bidding? Think. If all of us are super stars who would be our die-hard fans? Be the best listener if all you can do is to listen. The secret is to embrace the person that we are and be the best of it.

1.      The original copy and photocopies of your school diploma, Transcript of Records (TOR), NSO Birth Certificate, certificate of the seminars that you have attended, and the awards that you  have received in school or in the organization where you are a member. You will need these documents to support the data that you will enter in your resume.

ICCT COLLEGES INTRAMURAL YEAR 2011

  

   I think it is fair and high time that I tell you stories of my college days. I don't know if you can tell the difference but college days is real stories. By real stories - I mean of experiencing the moment with characters or witnesses. Unlike high school anecdotes, sometimes it was just me and the scenario or it was just them and my poetry. There are few highlights in my entire year in college that they strike my heart directly. They were life lessons in which I think, we all went through.Let me start  with the last Intramural that I have attended. 

   Intramural is an event highly anticipated of the whole school. Teams from other school branch, and different colleges gathers to prove and compete with each other. 

     When the Special Project Division launched a Photo Journalism competition I joined, that is why I had accessed with all the venue where some students are not allowed. Oh, the joy of acting like a professional Photojournalist!

Mr. Abut was my P.E. teacher making sure all things are set.

My mind is telling me that this is a pathetic approach. As a girl who is trying to be a woman on her own perspective this is indeed a bit risky. Since I have told myself that you should not be my concern anymore, writing a letter to you is awkward. We were never that close. But what can I do my heart is very supportive, very positive, and very confident that I can do this. That I can finally tell you the things I wanted to say. That I can pretend that we really happened, there was a story. You were the main character and I was the narrator.

This structure where a clock is attached and fountain are one of the landmarks of Marikina City.

Marikina City, considered as the Shoe Capital of the Philippines. Aside from this known fact there are two things I would like to impart (if you have not been to Marikina) and remind you which can easily be translated in a word that is common to all of us but partially difficult to practice – discipline.

LIFE LESSONS I LEARNED FROM CATS

The things we learned at school are totally different from the things that we considered as self – taught or self discoveries. Especially life lessons that we get when we graduated from schools most likely from the persons we just meet, totally strangers and from our pets. In my case they are our cats.

A DAY AT 9 WAVES

You have to give me some credit people; I am pretty much busy this past three weeks. I landed a job, and see how lucky I am, yesterday was our company’s outing. Seeing that summer is not yet over we were brought in a resort I always heard when I was in college. Ciudad Christhia Resort or 9 Waves is quite popular especially to all my classmates that are residing near Montalban and San Mateo, Rizal. The main attraction? Why of course, the waves. The waves that I really – really like to try but I cannot because of my monthly period.

You might think that I did not enjoy the day. Don’t you worry, I had fun. Instead of sitting at the pavilion I entertained myself by unleashing the photographer in me. I also found myself entertaining request of a photo with me. The main reason of having a company outing is to strengthen the bond of the employees. For a new face like me it is very helpful. I got to talk with the seniors without feeling that atmosphere in the work place.

LOOK UP AT ONE SKY

It was a beautiful twilight when I have decided to give myself something to look forward at every end of the day. I suddenly felt the urged to look up. Sure enough, I was amazed on what I have seen. A heart shaped cloud was up there unmoving as if it was waiting for me. It wasn’t until now that I think that it might be a sign of something good to happen or perhaps a romance is brewing.

After seeing it I felt a different kind of happiness. That is why I make a decision to photograph the sky on the succeeding days. Besides, it is better to look up instead of watching pavements. It is like surrendering everything to God. It is   like seeing the world in a different perspective.

QUICK HELLO!

Hello there.

This is  a very short post. I just wanted to say hello and to remind everyone to never give up. Yours is about to come just wait and hold on. Enjoy while you are not busy. I suggest that you do things now while you can. You do things now while you stil have the resources. You don’t wanna be like me.

All of as sudden I am very busy. Well the good news is I am busy living my life. I am back in the circulation, you know like those people who wake up at 4:00 am but are always in hurry despite of being awake early. Catching FX or jeepneys while having a bite of whatever food I grab at the convenient store as my breakfast. And if I am lucky I can continue my eight hours sleep  while the jeepney (jitney) or the FX (wherever I am) is running. In short I have got a new job. Yehey! In which I am telling you along with my succeeding posts whenever I find time.

Everything changes.

Also, I have this plan, very ambitious one. I want to buy my own domain. I’m looking through the net now. Can you suggest good domain hosting. I am also trying to contact Web Designers for my blog.

G STUFF DIARY PART II

The days have gone too fast. I cannot believe it had been days since my first official event as a blogger. There are other good stuffs that had been going on right now. I just hope that the rest will also fall unto their place. Looking back at some point in my life at times when I was hesitant in trying new products but eventually found out that they are worth a try, I would say, “Why have I not picked or do this?” Maybe because I was being stubborn or something.
